Missouri Public Policy and Law blog added to directory

Will Missouri’s politicians attempt to bust the public employees’ unions in this state?

Howard Wright’s new blog Missouri Public Policy and Law explores the Missouri law that underlies this hot issue.

For years, I’ve read and learned to rely on Howard’s summaries of state and federal case law and legislation affecting Missouri’s local governments, which he has compiled for the Missouri Municipal Attorneys Association and the Missouri Municipal League.

I’ve added Missouri Public Policy and Law to my Directory of Missouri Law Blogs, where it helps to fill a large gap for readers interested in expert analysis of important governmental issues.

For example, I’m hoping that Howard will write about the interaction between the voice of the people and the legislature. We’ve seen the Missouri General Assembly overturn a jury verdict from Boone County a couple of years ago. Currently, the General Assembly seems to be repudiating the so-called “puppy mill amendment,” approved by a majority of Missouri’s voters in November 2010.
